KTDA appoints Enos Njeru as new board chairman
Kenya's leading tea agency refreshes its board with Enos Njeru at the helm and Samson Mosonik Menjo as deputy, pledging stronger support for smallholder farmers and global competitiveness.
The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Holdings Limited has appointed fresh leadership for its board, with Enos Njeru stepping in as the new Chairman and Samson Mosonik Menjo appointed Vice Chairman.
They replace Chege Kirundi and Omweno James Ombasa, the previous Chairman and Vice Chairman.
The board thanked the outgoing leaders for their dedicated service. This transition follows standard governance practices. It aims to bolster oversight and keep KTDA responsive to the millions of smallholder tea farmers it supports.
KTDA plays a central role in Kenya’s tea sector. It oversees production, processing, and marketing. This helps position Kenyan tea strongly in both regional and global markets.
The agency reaffirmed its commitment to top-tier corporate governance. It focuses on safeguarding farmers’ interests and enhancing competitiveness abroad.
“The Board congratulates the newly elected Chairman and Vice Chairman,” KTDA Holdings stated. It expressed full confidence in their leadership to steer the organization ahead.
This change highlights KTDA’s ongoing efforts to adapt and thrive. Kenya remains one of the world’s top tea exporters, and strong governance at KTDA supports that status.
