Former Crystal Palace academy player Damian Oliver is still in the porn industry as an actor, director, and producer, after admitting more than eight months ago that he regretted his decision to leave football to go into adult film.
Oliver does not seem to be looking favourably on the industry he chose to go into and discussed some of the poor wages he received when he first started.
Speaking on the Anything Goes with James English podcast, he admitted that it is not as good as many people assume it must be to be a porn actor.
“That was terrifying, being on my first set, as the camera guy there was a big bald Irishman and he was quite scary,” he explained. I’ve got to get my d**k out in front of him and start f***ing. It was like laminate flooring, and I was butt-naked and sweating, and I was slipping in my own sweat,” Oliver said.
He explained that people in his life would tell him he must be good at it as he was known to sleep around, but he explained it is a different story when it is a job.
“It wasn’t until I had the confidence to actually do it, that I realised it was a whole different ball game,” he said.
At the time, Oliver – who dates fellow porn star Sophie Anderson – saw porn as a way to earn a bit of cash on the side while he worked as a painter and decorator but after meeting his partner decided to give it a good full-time.
Oliver made the career change in a bid to earn extra cash alongside his painter and decorator job. But after meeting partner Sophie Anderson, one of the two famed “C**k Destroyers”, Oliver jumped in full-time.
Oliver claims that he would’ve been earning “a lot more money” if he’d continued with Crystal Palace and had also pondered a career in fighting.
Now Oliver is looking forwards with Anderson to a career in mainstream acting.
