Property of unknown value was destroyed after a fire gutted down Toi Market in Nairobi’s Kibera area.

The fire, whose cause is yet to be established, broke out at around 4.00am destroying traders’ property worth millions of shillings.

Nairobi County fire engines took hours to contain the inferno at the market, famous for its accessibility off Ngong road. It is well known for affordable second-hand clothes and homeware, among other products.
