Construction of the Dandora Stadium will be complete in the next two months, according Nairobi Governor – Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

The flamboyant city boss said the county government will construct four other sports facilities, namely Jacaranda, Kariokor, Kihunbuini and Woodley.

Dandora will be a 30,000-seater stadium, with an artificial turf, a gym ad stalls for commercial use.

“As promised, construction of the new Dandora Stadium will be completed in the next two months before we focus on the next four facilities in Nairobi County,” posted the governor on his Facebook account.

The post attracted mixed reactions from his followers, some suggesting the governor should recover part of the ground which has been grabbed.

“Someone has grabbed the sidelines and is forcing the contractor to curve the field,” commented Wathika Boniface.
