Samuel Wambui wins KSh2 million after staking KSh100 on BetLion

By

Samuel Wambui – the biggest winner from last weekend, who staked just KSh100 on eight teams on his betslip, is the latest millionaire in Kenya after his bet won him KSh2 million on BetLion.

“I was speechless when I realised how much was at stake with the existing odds on my bet slip. At one time I thought of cashing out during the eighth game, but I challenged myself to see the game out. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions I ever made,” a excited Wambui said when he received his cheque from the betting firm’s CEO – Spencer Okatch.

“Ensuring that our players receive their winnings as soon as any bet is settled is our number one priority. We appreciate the trust showed by our customers, who believe in us to honour payouts,” Okach, said.

BetLion, one of only seven bookmakers whose licenses were renewed recently as government moves to restructure the industry, also boasts Africa’s largest jackpot purse of KSh350M.
