Odinga in London for Koffi Annan memorial, to head to Russia for energy summit

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is in London for the memorial event for the former UN Secretary General Koffi Annan before heading to Russia the St Petersburg Economic Conference at the invitation of the Russian government. Odinga is scheduled to speak at the Chatham House on the Legacy of Annan during the memorial event which between 3 and 4 June in London. In Russia, he will address sessions on gobal energy sector challenges and opportunities, the Russia-Africa business dialogue focusing on investment and trade and building a network of high-quality roads. “Mr Odinga will be away for slightly over a week. He is accompanied by Nyando MP Mr Jared Okello,” said Dennis Onyango, the ODM leader’s spokesperson.
