Obado relief as High Court reviews bail terms in murder, lifts 20km radius restriction

By

Migori Governor, Okoth Obado, can now freely within Homa Bay County after Justice Jessie Lesiit successfully reviewed his bail terms.

When he was freed on bail for the murder of Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby, the court had restricted the governor to a radius of 20km but he applied for a review of the terms.

In his application, Obado had argued that the restriction was inconvenient especially when he is required to travel to Nairobi because the journey is more cost-effective if done through Homa Bay County.
