KTN Point Blank: Social media buzz as Tony Gachoka confirms Odinga as guest

By

Kenyans have reacted with excitement after it emerged that Raila Odinga will be the guest on Kenya’s newest talk show – KTN Point Blank, hosted by Tony Gachoka.

The show, which marked the return of Gachoka to television, premiered last week with political strategist Peter Kagwanja.

Gachoka, renowned for his provocative and insightful moderating of talk shows, is a close confidante of Odinga, having worked as the ODM leader’s aide; has been viewed as KTN’s solution to counter Citizen television’s Jeff Koinange Live with political debate purists hailing his show solid and content rich.

Hosting Odinga only on his second show has added the extra push to how seriously the programme will be, as the African Union envoy for Infrastructure is not an easy man to convince to a ‘nascent’ show.

Among the issues Odinga is expected to shed light on is the handshake, the referendum push and the 2022 succession debate.
