KCCA crowned Uganda league champions with two matches to spare

Kampala Capital City Authority are the Uganda soccer league champions after winning the 2018/19 season.

The Lugogo side coached by Mike Mutebi were confirmed champions with one game in hand after demolishing Maroons FC 6-1 to earn the historic feat.

Patrick Kaddu scored a brace while Muzamiru Mutyaba, Allan Okello, Allan Kyambadde and Herbert Achai each getting on the score sheet to help their side to finish the season on 66 points, seven clear of Vipers. Seif Batte scored a consolation for Maroons.

Elsewhere Police midfielder Juma Balinya won the golden boot having scored 19 goals while URA goalkeeper James Alitho was awarded with the golden glove. The duo also received a cash prize from the league sponsors.
