Huawei launches Y6 in Kenya, to retail at KSh13,499

Mobile manufacturer Huawei Kenya, has today launched Y6 2019 in the
market.The gadget will be retailing at KSh13,499 across all retail stores in the country.

Y6 becomes the second mid range device to be launched in the market in 2019 following recent launch of Y7 Prime 2019. Y7 Prime uptake has seen the company surpass its target by attracting over 5000 sales within a month.

Huawei has also partnered with Lipa Later, a credit facility that allows one to choose a device of their choice then pay monthly for Huawei Y6 2019.

Steven Li, Head of Eastern Africa Mobile, said the launch in the local market was in appreciation of “the enthusiastic support of consumers and partners in Kenya, as well as the demand for quality affordable phones.”

“We are kicking off the campaign with a Pre-order where members of the public are encouraged to Pre-order within the two weeks,” said Mr Li.

The Y6 2019 features sleek, rounded curves carefully crafted in the shape of the screen, compared to the many wide rectangle shaped notches currently available in the market.

All purchases will come with a gift hamper that entails selfie stick, fold able bags and Bluetooth speakers or mugs in select stores.

It boasts 13MP rear camera that ensures crystal- clear imaging quality with its high resolution, whereas the front camera is 8MP with smarter beautification algorithms.
