Former Arsenal forward, Marouane Chamakh, has hang his boots after an illustrious football career.
Chamakh announced his retirement from football at the age of 35 after not playing for more than two years.
“Today I can say that I really retired from football,” he divulged go BeIn Sports.
Born in France, the former Morocco international plied his trade with French outfit, Bordeaux, with whom he spent eight years with before moving to Arsenal in 2010.
Chamakh made over 40 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, netting eight goals in the process before joining West Ham.
He also had brief stints with Crystal Palace and Cardiff City during his stay in the English Premier League.
In the international scene, Chamakh featured for France U-19, before switching allegiance to Morocco in 2003.
He made more than 60 appearances for the north African nation, scoring 18 goals and helping them emerge runners-up during the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations.
