Amina Mohamed makes surprise visit at Harambee Stars Paris camp

By

Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed made a surprise visit at the Harambee Stars training camp on 7 June where she assured the team of governments support.

She visited the team just hours before they proceeded to the Stade Robert Bobin Stadium in Paris, where they beat Madagascar with a solitary goal, scored by captain Victor Wanyama from the spot.

The Cabinet Secretary pledged the government’s support to the team ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which Kenya is set to take part in for the first time in 15 years.

“I want to wish you well as you represent the country on this big stage,” said Amina.

“For as long as I am here, I want to assure you of my full support. Kenyans are fully behind you and we are looking forward to positive results.”

Stars are preparing for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations set to kick off on 21 June in Egypt showpiece.
