The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Leagues and Competitions Committee has approved the key dates for the 2026-27 domestic football season, paving the way for clubs across the country to begin preparations ahead of another exciting campaign.

The approved calendar outlines player registration windows and kick-off dates for FKF’s national men’s and women’s competitions, providing clubs with a clear roadmap ahead of the new season.

Player registration for the SportPesa Premier League will open on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. (EAT) and close on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (EAT). Registration for the FKF National Super League will run from Friday, June 26, 2026, to August 28, 2026, while the FKF Division One League primary registration window will open on July 1, 2026, and close on September 4, 2026.

The 2026-27 SportPesa League season will kick off on Saturday, 22 August 2026, before the FKF National Super League gets underway a week later on Saturday, 29 August 2026. The FKF Division One League will begin on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

In the women’s competitions, player registration for the FKF Women’s Premier League will open on Sunday, 28 June 2026, and close on Monday, 31 August 2026, ahead of the new season’s kick-off on Saturday, 5 September 2026.

For the FKF Women’s National Super League, the registration window will run from Wednesday, 1 July 2026, to Saturday, 5 September 2026, with the league set to get underway on Saturday, 12 September 2026.

Meanwhile, registration for the FKF Women’s Division One League will open on Friday, 3 July 2026, and close on Friday, 11 September 2026. The competition is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, 19 September 2026.

The Federation urges all participating clubs to complete player registration within the stipulated timelines and ensure they meet all licensing and competition requirements before the respective registration deadlines.

With the calendar now confirmed, FKF will continue working closely with clubs and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and well-organized start to the 2026-27 season as Kenyan football builds on the progress made over the past year.
