Harambee Starlets head coach Beldine Odemba has named a 29-player provisional squad ahead of the 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign.
The tournament will be held in Morocco from July 26 to August 16, 2026.
Meanwhile, the players called up are expected to report to camp on Monday, June 29, 2026, to begin preparations ahead of the showdown in North Africa.
Kenya will begin their WAFCON 2026 campaign against hosts Morocco on July 26 at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 11.00 pm EAT.
Starlets will then face Senegal on July 30 at the Olympic Stadium, with the match set to kick off at 8.00 pm EAT.
The team’s final Group A fixture will be against Algeria on August 3 at the Olympic Stadium, and the game will kick off at 11.00 pm EAT.
Odemba confident
The team’s coach, Beldine Odemba, said Starlets’ target at the continental tournament has been set.
”Representing Kenya at WAFCON is a privilege, and as a team, we have set ourselves a clear target. We know that a place in the semi-finals would give us our debut in the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, and that is something we are striving for,” Odemba said.
”Our focus is to compete, continue improving as a team, and make Kenya proud.”
