The afternoon affair, themed “An Afternoon to Remember,” promises an elegant yet family‑friendly experience filled with sport, culture, and philanthropy.

The Kenyan Diaspora community is hosting the 2026 Equestrian Polo Benefit event on Saturday, October 17, at Seneca Polo Club in Poolesville. The event is hosted by the Kenyan Diaspora Team in partnership with Safari DC Golf Club.

Themed as “An Afternoon to Remember,” the gathering blends sport, culture, and philanthropy to create an environment for fun while supporting meaningful charitable work.

The event features exciting live polo matches, a player meet‑and‑greet, and a tasting experience by Song Dog Farm Distillery. It will feature open green spaces, safe viewing areas, and a relaxed atmosphere ideal for children and adults. Gourmet food trucks, community networking, and cultural engagement activities will offer something enjoyable for every age group.

Strengthening community bonds

All proceeds go towards supporting caddies in Kenya and the Joe Sang Foundation. The foundation seeks to empower underprivileged children through mentorship, education, and character development.

The organizers emphasize the event is not just about sport but also a way of strengthening community bonds and giving families an opportunity to participate in a worthy cause.

Tickets are going for $50, with gates opening at 1:00pm. Financial support is via Zelle (safaridcgolf@gmail.com), using reference POLO.

The annual event promises families a memorable afternoon, while contributing to a mission that supports youth development and economic empowerment.
