Uganda Ambassador Robbie Kakonge says her country and East Africa as a region are ready and actively engaging with investors who are willing to invest in ICT and agribusiness as key avenues for expanding opportunities for job creation and socio-economic development.

Speaking during the conclusion of the 19th East African Business Network conference in Texas, Kakonge invited East African diaspora and their business partners to take the incentives being offered by Uganda and other East African states to reap the benefits of the technology boom.
“If you are looking for opportunities to invest then reach out to me and we will plan a delegation down to Uganda and get started immediately,” said Kakonge as curtains came down on the three-day EABN convention that brought business and government leaders from seven East African countries and the United States.
“Uganda is ready and actively looking to attract investments and I know our sister countries are also open to these ideas so please take advantage so that you can be part of developing our motherland.”
The envoy spoke with Kurunzi News Managing Editor Milton Nyakundi for an exclusive interview that will be broadcast on our YouTube channel
 on Tuesday at 6.30pm EST.
Kenyan, Ugandan, Rwandan and American business owners exhibited their products and services with South Sudan and Nigerian-owned enterprises also participating.
Communication Unites Everyone Broadcasting President Phil Butler was recognized as the sponsor of the event, the billion-dollar firm that pioneered the live-streaming space having been the platinum partner.
“It is never easy for me to be speechless but I am right now because when I spoke earlier I wanted to be part of the family and now (with this award) I have become so thank you very much,” said Butler.
Butler sat down for an interview with Kurunzi News and it will be broadcast our YouTube channel on Wednesday at 6.30pm EST. Watch out for other exclusive interviews from the conference on our YouTube channel all week and throughout October.
