Rasmus Hojlund is expected to leave Atalanta for Manchester United before the start of their season against Wolves on August 14.
The Manchester club does not want to spend more than £60 million on the 20-year-old striker, but it is widely believed that he will sign with them within the next two and a half weeks. It is also believed that they do not need to sell any players in order to get the money needed.
Erik ten Hag was questioned about H0jlund following Wednesday’s 2-0 loss in a friendly match against Real Madrid at Houston’s NRG Stadium. We are working around-the-clock to find the appropriate talent to agree to a deal with us in order to meet our goals.”
Although Randal Kolo Muani, a France international playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, is admired by Ten Hag as well, H0jlund is believed to have agreed to personal terms, and United are close to signing the Dane.
H0jlund’s youth means that he is not yet a complete forward, but United’s leadership has faith in Ten Hag’s ability to help the youngster reach his full potential. The management is impressed with H0jlund’s commitment to making improvements.
