Kenya Airways has temporarily suspended a repatriation flight scheduled to operate between Nairobi and Dubai on March 6, 2026, citing security guidance from Dubai airport authorities.

The national carrier confirmed the suspension in a customer update issued Friday, saying the decision was taken in compliance with the advisory and to ensure the safety of both passengers and crew.

“We wish to inform our customers that we have suspended today’s (March 6, 2026) repatriation flight to and from Dubai following security guidance from Dubai Airport authorities,” the airline said in the statement.

The airline did not disclose specific details about the nature of the security guidance but emphasized that operational decisions are made with safety as the primary consideration.

“The safety of our crew and customers remains our top priority,” the airline said.

The carrier acknowledged that the sudden suspension may disrupt travel plans for passengers scheduled to fly between the two destinations. However, it reiterated that the precautionary step was necessary to comply with security directives issued by airport authorities in Dubai.

The airline said further communication will be provided once additional details become available or once operations on the affected route can safely resume.

Passengers urged to monitor flight updates

Travelers have been advised to regularly check their flight status through the airline’s official website to receive the latest updates.

Kenya Airways also urged customers to ensure their contact information is updated through the “Manage Booking” option so that the airline can share real-time notifications directly with affected passengers.

In addition, travelers seeking further clarification have been encouraged to contact the Kenya–United Arab Emirates consulate for additional assistance.

For customer support, Kenya Airways said passengers can reach its Customer Excellence Team through phone, WhatsApp or the airline’s support account on X.

The airline added that it remains committed to keeping passengers informed and will issue further updates as soon as more information becomes available regarding the Dubai repatriation flight.
