Alex Omuhaka 26 years old, who is a bodaboda operator at Shiatsala market got into an argument with his grandfather at around 8.00pm, a situation which made the police officers who are neighbours to the homestead to arrive and started beating him as they took him to the police station.
The wife of the deceased Dorcas Akinyi stated that she heard her husband crying in pain throughout the night from the beating of the police officers.
The residents condemned the incident claiming that the deceased was a kind person and were surprised to learn of his death.
The incident has been condemned by many including leaders of the area Willis Opuka Ward Representative Marama South and Harbil Nanjendo, asking for a detailed investigation to be done to identify the perpetrators.
